Mr. Vishwanath Hanchanale
I am a consultant urological and robotic surgeon at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and honorary senior lecturer at Liverpool medical university. My special interests include managing prostate, bladder and testicular cancer patients.
I obtained the primary medical qualification and post-graduate surgical training in India. After completing my initial urological training around Liverpool and two-years of research in Merseyside, I moved to Leeds for specialist urological and robotic surgery training. Furthermore, to enhance my robotic skills, I completed ERUS robotic training with Prof Mottrie in Belgium and undertook a clinical visit to Cornell University, New York.
I have published and presented extensively in international urology journals and conferences and am currently continuing my audit and research activity by becoming involved in ongoing projects. I am a keen teacher and currently hold an honorary lecturer post at the University of Liverpool School of Medicine. I am currently the simulation lead for urology at Mersey Deanery and have been involved in several simulation and teaching courses.
